Why do we plant trees?

A sapling brings the soil back to life and opens a source of income for a family. The story of our Breathe Life into the Future campaign.

Why do we plant trees?

Years of war have badly damaged Syria’s once lush countryside. Orchards have been lost and farmland has been left untended.

Breathe Life into the Future is IQRA Türkiye’s tree-planting campaign, and one of the finest examples of our commitment to lasting good.

What a sapling brings

  • Restoring nature: Countryside damaged by war is turning green again.
  • Income for families: Fruit trees provide families with a livelihood for years to come.
  • Food production: Olives, walnuts and fruit help the region grow its own food.
  • Sadaqah jariyah: For as long as the tree lives, its good continues.

A sapling planted today will go on bearing fruit and doing good for years to come.

Breathe Life into the Future

We are bringing Syria’s war-damaged countryside back to life with olive, walnut, pine and fruit saplings.
